Cochineal is a dye which is obtained from a tiny parasitic insect which lives and feeds on cacti in South America, Central America, and the southwest United States. It gives a bright pink colour on this Irish linen scarf, which measures 229cm x 48cm approx.
The cochineal we have used here is organically farmed and fully traceable.
